If You Will

Deep Calling unto Deep Birth carries a subtitle that is also its whole teaching: If You Will. Here the wordless communion of the previous movement seeks to be born into a life — and that birth waits on the will. Art writes about the moment at the threshold when grace does not seize but asks; when the reader must decide what to surrender and what to carry through. It is a book about the sacred power of the human yes, and the cost and freedom of giving it. For readers standing at their own edge, sensing that something wants to come through them, this is an invitation to say the word that lets it: if you will.

About the Author

Art Aloka — Artesius Meltin Aloka — is a poet, healer, and independent researcher in human perception. Fifty years of practice, begun with Silva cognitive training in the early 1970s, have taught him that the deepest changes turn on a single hinge: consent. Perception can be refined, the veil can thin, the deep can call — but nothing is born in a person without their yes.

He lives off-grid on Kīlauea’s eastern rift in Hawaiʻi, where new earth is delivered only when the pressure below is finally allowed through.
