Beyond the Illusion of Separation

A wave has never been separate from the ocean. A ray of light has never been separate from the sun.

We have never truly been separated from the Source of all being — we have only forgotten. That is the revelation at the heart of this book, where spiritual knowledge becomes lived experience and the bridge between knowing and being is finally crossed.

Drawing on the Book of Enoch, the Nag Hammadi texts, the Essene Gospel of Peace, and the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, Shakespeare and the Odyssey, it traces the soul’s path to conscious reunion with the Creator. The journey is not escape from the world but awakening within it — the recognition that heaven was never elsewhere, only unrecognised.

The book maps five governing dynamics of divine intimacy: purity of heart that clears the lens; receptivity that welcomes rather than grasps; courage to enter the unknown and be transformed; humility that surrenders the defended self; and service that confirms communion by extending it.

It does not ask you to become worthy of God’s love. It invites you to remember that you have always dwelt in the mind of the Creator, that the separation was never real, and that homecoming begins wherever you are.

About the Author

Art Aloka — also known as Artesius Meltin Aloka — is a poet, healer, and independent researcher in human perception. His fifty-year practice, begun with Silva cognitive training in the early 1970s, has circled one discovery from a thousand directions: that separation — the felt gap between self and world, self and others, self and God — is the great illusion, and that beneath it everything is joined.

He lives off-grid on Kīlauea’s eastern rift in Hawaiʻi, immersed in a living environment that quietly refuses every boundary the mind tries to draw.

Lost in the Wonders of Heaven is Art’s most rapturous book — a mystic’s account of what is found when the illusion of separation dissolves. Here heaven is not a distant place but a present reality, glimpsed the moment the partition drops and the soul remembers it was never alone. Art writes for readers who have tasted, even briefly, that boundless connectedness and want to understand it; and for those who suspect such a country exists and long to be lost in it. In the spirit that runs through all his work — that, in the end, all is one — this is an invitation to wonder, and to the homecoming that waits on the far side of the veil.
